If you are a Harvard undergraduate and are interested in getting involved in the group's research, feel free to get in touch. It is helpful if you have taken my course, but this is not required. If you're generally wondering what you'd need to learn to be involved in research on machine learning, you'll probably want to at least take STAT110 and CS50.
Prospective Graduate Students
I am currently looking for strong graduate students with interests in the core HIPS research areas.
The School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) provides information on graduate admissions at the following URLs:
Note that individual faculty members do not have direct control over admissions and funding. Applications are typically due in mid-December, with the admissions committee meeting in the spring, but see the links above for details. Note also that it is necessary to take the general Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and perhaps also the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Additionally, letters of recommendation are extremely important.
Applying for Postdoctoral Positions
I do not currently have funding for new postdoctoral fellows.
